PRACTICAL / TECHNICAL INFO

Mobile gas oven
The gas oven is not a main heat source and should only be used to get the cabin warm faster when you arrive (helping to get the heat up in the living room or one of the bedrooms).

Turn on gas switch on top of gas bottle (visible flame)
Press the button with the “Lightning arrow” to lit the oven. Y
ou might have to press it several times until you see the gas flame
is lit at the bottom of the front.
The oven is switched off by turning off
the gas switch on top of the gas bottle

Gass
In the kitchen behind the oven there are two switches. The gas is switched off when the switches are upright.

RED SWITCH - Gas for stove
BLUE SWITCH - Refrigerator gas
Next to the switch is a CO2 meter with alarm.
Should the gas run out, the gas cabinet is outside the kitchen window. There is an extra tank so you can replace the empty one. You will find the key to the cabinet on the nails on the left side of the door in the entrance to the kitchen. Please let us know if you have changed gas during your stay so we can replace the empty tank.

Stove
Select the hob and find the correct switch in the front. Light flame with sparkle gun or match. Turn +45 degrees to the left, press and hold for about 5 seconds. If the flame goes out, try again.
When using a gas stove you open the oven and find a hole in the bottom. Light flame and point into holes. Turn own switch to oven +45 degrees, press and hold for about 10 seconds. See that the flame has caught fire on the gas.
If the stove is not used, switch off the gas by turning the RED switch horizontally.

Refrigerator
Turn on the BLUE switch to open for gas.
Turn switch (2) on GAS.
Ad the rotary switht (the one without number on this illustration) on maximum gas an hold the switch down.
While holding down the switch, press button (1). many times in quick series with one/two secconds intervals until you see that the cursor is moving towards green. The fridge is on when the dash on the display (3) has moved over to the green area. Hold the rotary swithch down yet another 15 seconds before you release. The fridge is now on and you can turn the gas level down to medium.

Power

Inside the living room there is a solar cell regulator.
Turn on / off with button (1). Try to limit consumption to ensure that you always have plenty of power.

Nice to know info on the solar cell panel:
The status of the batteries is highlighted under “Batte- ry” (2). The batteries are 100% 12.7V and are almost discharged at 11.2V. The battery is charged in good weather. Charge is measured on “Charging” (3) Consumption is measured under “Consumption” (4).

Other tools and equipment

Tools and equipment
In the entrance room at the back of the cabin you will find different equipment. Shovel,
snowshoes, a small sled etc, you free to use while you are at Makelloos, and of course you will put it back in place after use.

Tools and batteries are provided in two of the drawers under the beds in the master bedroom. There are also batteries and lighters in one of the drawers at the kithcen.
