Ord blir utilstrekkelig for å beskrive vårt opphold, alt var perfekt.

Utsikten fra og rundt hytten er ikke annet enn magisk, øyet kan utforske natur samtidig som man kan hvile blikket deilig mot horisonten, med synet av havet i det fjernet. Solen er med deg fra morgen til kveld.

Verten er i tillegg utrolig gjestfri, hjelpsom og hyggelig å kommunisere med. Yter absolutt det lille ekstra. Jeg vil anbefale dette stedet videre på det varmeste. - Kenneth Juli 2021

Vi hade en fin nyårshelg på Makaløs med panoramautsikt över alla fyrverkerier. Hytten var mycket vackert inredd med fina detaljer och väl utrustad med allt man behöver. Ett extra plus för sköna puter och dyner och Mariannes gästfrihet! Hit kan vi tänka oss att komma igen!

Beautiful cabin in a special location. Very quiet and relaxing. Really close to Oslo. All instructions on getting there where perfect and easy to find. It was a bit of a long walk form the parking area, so for sure next time we will take lighter back packs. We would love to come back again.

What a fantastic hidden gem the Mountain Lodge is. We spent 5 wonderful days waking to ever evolving views down 400 metres to Oslo’s Fjord.
The location is a perfectly challenging hike to this remote part of heaven. Once there only nature is your neighbour. Only 5 minutes into the climb from the car park we bumped into an enormous male moose, the King of the Forest. Followed by a huge eagle owl disturbed from its dusk meal by our heavy footsteps.
The cabin is perfectly furnished with a huge dining table,2 bedrooms and a sauna powered by a wood burning stove. Stoves were also located in the kitchen and lounge diner with facilities to heat water.
The humbling experience is that the cabin had no running water or electricity ( apart from a small solar panel to power led lighting and phone chargers ).
A well is close by for water to wash or wash up and a mountain spring 10 minutes walk away completed the ‘ back to basics’ experience.
We left feeling completely regenerated and ready to cope with life in the fast lane after totally relaxing in the cabin.
The beds and seating are so comfortable and the cabin is littered with animal skins which further enhance the connection to nature and life before the 20 th century.
But the greatest attraction for us was the magnificent views that constantly changed with the light and shadows.
Marianne and Jon are very good hosts. Very responsive and so easy to communicate with.
All in all we will definitely return.

Fantastisk sted, både innvending og når det gjelder plassering. En ekte retreat -bare et lite stykke unna sivilisasjonen. Subtil og nydelig innredning, naturlig og estetisk, røff og skjønt. Hyttas stue har nydelige lysforhold pga hyttas plassering. For å ikke snakke om utsikten -langt utover Oslofjorden. Alt i alt: 100 % fornøyd.

Looking for nature aventure 40 minutes away from central Oslo : Search no more ! Makaløs welcome you After about an hour and a half hike ( count double time if the trail get icy as for us) among pine tree, birches , smalls streams and pounds . Back to basic but with style and confort in the cabin . Marianne crafted a natural soul for fourniture and home décoration reflecting the outside: hand made earthwares, sheepfleeces , wool and wood. Antique stove and open fireplace , cutting your wood, pumping your water, managing the charge of the Solar panel made a difference to drop at least smartphones and sceens to share Real social and family moments by the candles or fire light.

You Can hire sheets and buy some candles and firewoods for your stay to Travel with a lighter backpack . Dry toilet. Dormitory with 6 individual bed and room with double bed + storey bed

Marianne was very réactive and caring and concerned for all the questions WE had ( suggestions buying ice walking accessoires was a lifesaver for us! ) . At réservation you ll get a very detailed guide of accommodation, direction to go to the cabin . Jon amazingly was kind enough to went all the way UP to heat the sleepingroom for us !
So if you feel, as WE did, the call of the wild : this is the place for you . Our son Félix (3 years old) was overjoyed riding the sledge, making igloo and snowman and sleeping in front of the fireplace on the sheep fleece ! Childhood memories for a lifetime thanks to you Makaløs!

Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne Tage. Die Hütte mitten im Wald hat genau unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Ein toller Ort, um Zweisamkeit und Ruhe zu genießen. Wer in den einfachen Dingen den Luxus finden kann, der ist hier genau richtig. Wäre der Weg nicht so weit, würden wir immer wieder kommen!

Just amazing! A cozy, very tastefully decorated cabin in the middle of beautiful nature. A stunning view down to the oslo fjord. The perfect stay for everyone who sees the luxury in simplicity and slience of beautiful nature. The Communication with Marianne was very warm, fast and uncomlicated! We highly recommend the cabin and will defenetly return someday! Thanks for everything!

Vi starten ferden til hytta fra siste parkeringsplass og kom etter ca. 30 min tur på sti fram til hytta. Beliggenheten gir fin utsikt til Oslofjorden. Hytta var stor, sjarmerende og i gjennomført stil. Kjempegode dyner og puter.
Vi fikk god informasjon i forkant, og Marianne svarte kjemperaskt på ting vi lurte på. Vi kommer nok igjen!
